Come In Spinner!

Jun 03, 2019

Lucky Spinner stormed home from last to win his maiden in impressive fashion over 1600m on a very heavy track at Moe on Monday. He put the writing on the wall last start with a closing 4th after making a long sustained run at Geelong. Lucky Spinner has taken an eternity to mature mentally and this once anxious horse has really settled down reserving all his energy for race day. The penny is slowly but surely starting to drop for the gelded son of Hard Spun. Lucky Spinner was perfectly handled by Tom Ryan who was able to ride him cold, avoid hitting him with the whip and kidded and conjoled him to power home to get the major prize. Now that he has got the maiden out of the way it will be no suprise to see him go on with it and pick off another suitable race in the coming weeks.
