Empire Liberty heads to Wangaratta on Monday finally getting into a race that he should be competitive in. Paying the price of winning 2 in a row over the summer Empire Liberty has found himself over the winter months competing in the tough 64 Benchmark grades giving away fitness and carrying weight against seasoned older horses as he prepared to get up to a 2000m trip. While his form on paper this time in looks questionable he looks ready now and should appreciate the drop back to Benchmark 58 grade. In form apprentice Lewis German takes the reigns and his 2kg claim will help offset the big weight. Fingers crossed with some luck in running a return to form is on the cards for Empire Liberty.
