Plot The Course looking to continue his excellent return to the racetrack goes into the Ladbrokes Handicap over 1700m in great shape 3rd up at Caulfield. He put the writing on the wall with a third placing at the same course 3 weeks ago. He has trained on very well and his pattern suggests that he can produce a peak performance 3rd run in. A small but tricky field awaits Plot the Course with some established handicappers meeting some horses rising in class with light weights. Plot The Course drops significantly in weight will strip fitter and provided the track is not too firm is there to run a bold race.
Onto Sunday Empire Liberty is looking to strike again in Race 3 The Briesis Club class 1 after his tough maiden win. The 3 year old son of Statue of Liberty looks a progressive galloper and the bigger track at Geelong should suit as well as the firmer surface. Team has been performing well over last month with long priced placings from Hanariki who improved with addition of a tongue tie and Empire Liberty first up followed up with a victory at Cranbourne and the pleasing return of Plot The Course to metropolitan racing. Looking forward to getting Reconciled to the races in the coming weeks who like Empire Liberty was knocked about on debut requiring a spell and looks to have good talent.
