Plot The Course slashing return
Sep 19, 2016
Plot The Course thwarted by wet tracks chanced his arm in an open handicap last Saturday at Caulfield. While wanting to resume in a benchmark race the spate of wet tracks forced a change of plans with the stable keen to kick the son of Henrythenavigator off on a reasonable track. The Caulfield surface and 1400m was ideal starting point despite the strong class of race. And with scratchings we were able to gain a start and get the services of Michael Walker who has won on him and trialled him up in readyness for his resumption. The stable was confident of a forward showing despite going off at 50-1. Plot the Course ran right up to his trial to finish hard for an impressive 5th. Our Boy Rokki a potential group 1 winner in the coming weeks won impressively. Walker was effusive in his praise indicating that he had improved greatly from his trial and would prove hard to beat next start. The plan is to head to the Valley on Grand Final eve over 1500m in a benchmark 90.
