Keeping it in the Family

The Inglis Premier Yearling Sale concluded today smashing all records with significant increases in averages across the board. It was an extremely tough sale to buy and while that was expected it went even higher than anticipated. Unfortunately early on in the sale we were outbidded on a few colts on our short list that made double what we valued them out such was the strength of the sale. After some 350 inspections we only had 7 that made the cut and missing out early was fortuitous as hidden late in the sale was a very stylish and athletic filly by Canford Cliffs, Europe's leading sire of 2 year olds last season that now shuttles to Blue Gum Farm Euroa. Sometimes the pedigree page does not tell the full story and the dam Amicable Agreement happens to be the mother of our very promising 3 year old Mahlabatini luckless on debut last Saturday. With that insight and after inspecting her she was a welcome addition to our select short list. We were very happy to purchase her in the range that we valued her at which was $26,000 plus GST when the hammer fell. Given the current buoyant climate for yearlings she represents terrific value as a Super Vobis filly by a promising young stallion and a half to a potentially good galloper. We are pleased to offer her to take full advantage of a well bred, value filly that is well poised to take advantage of the Vobis bonus schemes in Victoria. If you interested in being apart of this ownership opportunity please contact Michael Trotter 0409 542 210 or Tim Ford 0409145056 to discuss and arrange an inspection.
