Of Course Oaks Day!

Nov 02, 2015

Progressive galloper Plot The Course has come through his win over 1600m last week at the Bendigo Cup meeting in fine fettle. The natural next run is a midweek restricted 1800m race on a big roomy track. There just happens to be one this Thursday at Flemington with the Oaks a minor distraction! A plan before his first up run to get to this race seemed only a dream a few weeks back but Plot The Course has made it the obvious choice after winning in scintillating fashion first up at Cranbourne by 5 lengths and scoring a tough win last week. Plot The Course drops to 54kgs and has drawn perfectly in barrier 6. Melbourne Cup winning rider Steven King who knows every inch of Flemington takes the ride due to Mark Pegus unable to make the weight. It is a big rise in class but the lightly raced son of Henrythenavigator is expected to keep improving as he steps up in trip. His big team of owners will no doubt be out in force on Thursday to cheer him on and enjoy the thrill of having a runner with a good chance during cup week.
