I AM Off to Corowa

Jul 04, 2015

I Am Bacchus (I Am Invincible-Fabled) heads to Corowa on Tuesday lining up in the Corowa Race Club 1300m Maiden. The stable has booked in for their annual trip to Corowa via Parkers Pies in Rutherglen with hopefully some spending money for the wineries if I Am Bacchus can live up to his name sake that being the Greek God of good food and wine. After a very promising first preparation I Am Bacchus failed to fire first up in a strong city class maiden at Sale. Given the run of the race by Jackie Berriman he went from travelling to gone in a stride indeed a puzzling run. Back to the drawing board and a visit to the house of mirrors I Am Bacchus has worked will since and will have the addition of a visor and a tail chain when he steps out on Tuesday. Experienced Riverina jockey Nick Souquet takes the reins and hopefully he can get I Am Bacchus back on track and into the winners stall so we can pay for the pies on the way home!
