Double Trouble at Bairnsdale
Oct 18, 2015
Cyclone Jess and Remount head to Bairnsdale for the lucky last on Monday with bragging rights on the line. Pat the Caulfield Cup winning jockey who rode Analight 40 years ago this weekend will be calling on all his experience to get one up on his son Michael who puts the polish on the handsome grey Remount. No luck last start for Cyclone Jess posted wide the trip Ben Thompson takes a claim on Monday seeing her come in well on the weights. Remount was fitted up with a closing 6th fresh up over 1000m after only 1 800m trial leading in. The lightly raced 5 year old looks to have come back stronger this time in and hopefully he can ran a strong 1200m. There will be plenty of time for the post race analysis on the trip back with the loser driving home and a good arguement if it is a dead heat.
