Sojourn for Plot The Course
Jun 30, 2015
Plot The Course has headed to the spelling paddock after a successful first campaign. The son of Henrythenavigator took his time getting to the track but showed good potential leading into his first up run at Benalla where he finished hard for third. With Mark Pegus sidelined with injury Michael Walker took over for his second start and not for a rails hugging ride by Damien Oliver on Nightspun, Plot The Course nearly knocked over his maiden then and there. With race experience and the step up to the mile on the roomy Bendigo track Plot The Course improved again to bolt in by a widening 5.5lengths in quick time. A planned trip to the Gold Coast proved logistically impossible and with Seymour races called off due to poor visibility Plot The Course headed to Adelaide for the final run of his campaign. In a slowly run race and with not much luck Plot The Course finished 6th as beaten favourite working home well when once clear. He handled the travel very well and we feel that the trip away and experience will hold in good stead next time in. Plot The Course will now have 3-4 weeks off and be back in work ready to be at the races in late October through the early part of summer taking advantage of the many races on offer at that time of the year.
