Stable Run

May 13, 2015

After a good 6 month settling in period for the stable relocating to Kilmore last year the small team is enjoying a good run of success. In their first full preparations trained out of the Kilmore property the last 6 runners have recorded 2 wins 2 seconds and 2 thirds. The 3 horses currently racing are running right up to their looks thriving on individual training routines and a hands on approach. Remount went down narrowly first up at Geelong then won impressively on ANZAC weekend at Ararat in impressive fashion. He stepped up in class at Wodonga recently to go down narrowly giving 4kgs to the two horses that beat him home. He is an extremely genuine horse that will be hard to beat again next time he sports silk. Plot The Course made an impressive debut at Benalla on Monday running home strongly for 3rd. The big raw son of Henrythenavigator has taken time to get to the track but on what we have seen from him on the track and his first start he looks to have plenty of upside. Zombie Queen made amends after her first up defeat with a strong win at Echuca. She put the writing on the wall during her first preparation with a couple of placings in strong maidens. Bred to get over a trip Zombie Queen is developing nicely and she heads back to Echuca Thursday looking to make it back to back.

Waiting in the wings is our I am Invincible 3 year old I am Bacchus. Unlucky not to win on debut this promising galloper has come back a bigger stronger and more mature horse. He is ready to trial and it won't be long before he is back at the races. Our Turffontein 2 year old has had a couple of dash ups and the indications are that he can gallop. He will not be rushed and given some time to mature before he heads to the track. Plenty to look forward in the coming months from our small team. Hope that the consistent performances continue.
