Plot The Course On The Map

May 13, 2015

A promising debut from stable first starter Plot The Course at Benalla with a fast finishing 3rd over the 1400m. The son of Henrythenavigator has been given plenty of time which seems to benefit this breed and been patiently handled by the stable. Plagued early with shin soreness Plot The Course has had a thorough grounding competing in jumpouts at Cranbourne, Wangaratta, Benalla and a nice official trial at Tatura prior to his first start. Plot The Course was a 30k purchase from the Inglis Classic Winter Book in 2013 and on type was one of the better colts in that sale. From the 6 time winning Bianconi mare But I'm Serious Plot The Course is a half brother to multiple Hong Kong winner Santa Fe Sun. After stepping only fairly Plot The Course settled second last on settling. Asked to improve by jockey Mark Pegus Plot The Course made his move from the 600m forced to wait and go around another runner he was therefore forced very wide on the turn. Once he straightened up he really savaged the line. It was a real eye catching run. Plot The Course will only improve with both race experience and as he gets up in distance. Hopefully he will break his maiden sooner rather than later and reward his owners patience. He looks a promising galloper in the making.
