Remount The Omen Tip

Apr 25, 2015

The Omen tip of the weekend Remount looks the one to beat at Ararat on Sunday 2nd up over 1100m in the time honoured Bill Biggins 0-58. Named after legendary Bloodstock Figure Frank Ford who before forging a successful Bloodstock business worked in the Remount division of the army breaking in horses. He was bred by Frank's son and raced by members of the Ford family and other friends of the Trotter Stable. Remount after breaking his maiden at Avoca resisted the temptation of returning on ANZAC day despite the big grey's cult following there. The 1100m race at Ararat looks a better option and now a winner Remount won't get out of bed for the 8k races anymore. His run at Geelong first up was full of merit and with the benefit of added fitness and a subtle gear change should see Remount right in finish. Mark Pegus will be hoping to make it a stable double for the weekend after his winning ride at Echuca on Zombie Queen yesterday.
