Cyclone Warning at Sandown

Apr 05, 2015

It could be a family affair with half siblings Cyclone Andy and Cyclone Jess down to run Easter Monday at Sandown. While Cyclone Andy is a definite starter his sister Cyclone Jess may be kept for another day due to drawing 15, a decision will be made Monday morning. Cyclone Andy resumes after a long break to get over bone chip surgery from his knees. He has comeback well and has been fitted up for his resumption with two 800m jumpouts. Cyclone Andy faces stiff opposition for his return to racing but will run well and derive improvement out of the race naturally given the time off he has had. Cyclone Jess also faces a very strong BM70 with her task looking more difficult from a wide draw. There will need to be a number of scratchings for her to run as she is going great guns at the moment. The key to this mare is to get cover in a fast run race over the short trips. If she gets these conditions she can produce a short sharp turn of foot. Her sectionals last start were great and wherever she starts next expecting her to be very competitive. The brother and sister homebred combo by Yasey and Old Deuteronomy respectively have won 9 races and over 225k between them proving great money spinners for the Trotter family and connections.
