I Am Bacchus Debuts

Dec 12, 2014

I Am Bacchus was very unlucky not to make it a dream debut running a sensational third at Kyneton. The son of boom stallion I Am Invincible showed that he is a serious racehorse with a fast finishing third beaten less than a length. As Molly would say do yourself a favour and watch the replay. Slow out I Am Bacchus took 200 metres to realise it was game on and not just a friendly jumpout. Once he found his feet he picked up and was making good ground when on the turn he received a good old fashioned hip and shoulder knocking him off balance. He recovered from that and then had a jockey dislodge in front of him causing him to shy a fraction. Over all that he had the audacity to keep picking up and savage the line beaten for second in a photo and another 20m he wins the race. A great run at the 50-1 first up in a very strong maiden. We are looking forward to placing him to advantage next time out and he appears to have plenty potential on his first ever run.
