Cyclone Jess off for a spell
Dec 12, 2014
Iron mare Cyclone Jess heads to the paddock for a well deserved break after another honest effort at Sandown where she was only beaten 3 lengths. She has had a long preparation with a few freshen ups which yielded two wins and 2 placings. Cyclone Jess really struck form in November with a dominant win at Ballarat on cup eve and an excellent second at Sandown. Cyclone Jess continued to thrive in training and did a great job to keep running so consistently for a long period of time. Since she broke her maiden this time last year the home bred by Old Deuteronomy has had 21 starts for 3 wins 5 seconds and 2 thirds and has banked 61k in her career to date. Looking forward to seeing her back next time in and no doubt she can win another race or two. With Cyclone Jess heading for a break Cyclone Andy has returned to work after an enforced layoff due to injury. The bold front running chestnut has thrived up at Kilmore enjoying the water walker and tranquil surrounds. He was also able to keep an eye on the latest member of the family a half brother (foal) by Host, joining half sisters by Sharkbite (2y/o) and yearing by Host.
