Cyclone Jess lands the cash at Sale

Aug 16, 2014

Cyclone Jess after putting the writing on the wall last start scored a tough win at Sale in the Benchmark 64 over 1400m. Plagued by winter tracks Cyclone Jess virtually had a mini break with 6 weeks between runs before her eye catching 3rd at Sale over 1200m. Pat was very confident leading into the race given the way she had trained on and the step up to 1400m. From the wide gate she had to do it tough racing three deep the trip. Darren had her well poised to make her run but it appeared that the leader would be hard to catch. In a driving finish Cyclone Jess really lifted under the Gauch and when headed by the favourite inside of her surged on the line to gain victory. All preparation she has been aimed at a 1600m race and the way she hit the line no doubt she will again prove hard to beat next time out.
