Weekend Racing

May 30, 2014

The stable has a few runners over the next coming days days starting off with the return of injury plagued galloper Wet Weapon at Kilmore on Saturday. The rising 6 year old has been off the scene for 12 months and will be a little rusty when he steps out over the mile. Hopefully Wet Weapon can show that he is still competitive and can remain sound as he has good ability but injury has prevented him from fulfilling it.

Marvellous Choice heads to Ballarat in 0-64 for fillies and mares on the new revamped track. She won very impressively last start at Kilmore but has had a gap between runs with a couple of minor setbacks. She looks well placed on Sunday over the 1100m from the good gate The Gauch should have her in the perfect spot to be in the finish.

Toyed looks very hard to beat at Wodonga on Monday dropping back to a fillies and mares 0-58 after her luckless run last start. She has drawn well and is racing consistently. A repeat of her Echuca run 2 starts back would see her fighting out the finish.

The barrier draw luck had run out by Tuesday with Shenanigans drawing wide at Geelong. The big boy is looking to bounce back after a below par performance at Seymour. He has been a consistent performer on the synthetic surface and hopefully that and C Robertson back on does the trick.

Two year olds Vinnie by Henrythenavigator and Mav by I am Invicible came back into work this week they have shown plenty of promise to this point. Remount by Dash for Cash has headed to the paddock for a short break.  He was able to stand a full preparation including two trials the second of which was impressive after being off the scene for 12 months due to a paddock accident. He looks to have a good future in front of him from what he has shown thus far.

Currently we have Turffontein yearling colt available for syndication please see details on our horses available page on the website.

Looking forward to hopefully one of the team finding the winners stall over the next few days.
