Marvellous Run

Dec 04, 2013

Marvellous Choice bounced back at Sale on Wednesday with an excellent 2nd over 1200m. The daughter of Choisir has been difficult to evaluate this time in with some indifferent trials and a below par first up run. Given that she ran 5th at Flemington on debut after looming up at the 300m to be beaten only 3 lengths and on one breath it was easy to have high expectations for her. She was knocked from pillar to post at her second start at the Valley which in hindsight had more of an effect on her than first thought given her reluctance to stretch out in traffic this time in. Reunited with talented jock Michael Walker, Marvellous Choice bounced and put herself right on the speed. She travelled sweetly throughout despite not handling the shifting track and in the straight dug deep to hit the line really well to hold second. The run showed she is back on track and with the addition of blinkers and stripping fitter hopefully Jazz can salute the judge next time out.
