Promising Start for I Am Invincible
Tara Madgwick - Monday, 25 November 2013
With yearling sales just around the corner, the commercial fate of a young sire whose oldest progeny are two year-olds can hang in the balance, but in the case of I Am Invincible his stocks are clearly on the rise.

I Am InvincibleA brilliant sprinter by champion European sire Invincible Spirit (IRE), I Am Invincible created a big impression at the sales earlier this year when his progeny sold to $160,000 off an $11,000 service fee and averaged $81,667 at the Magic Millions (9 sold).

Fast forward nearly 12 months and I Am Invincible has had six runners for an impressive New Zealand debut winner in Vinnie Eagle, two stakes-placed performers in Tetsuko and Silent Whisper, plus another place-getter in I Am The General, who was third in the $200,000 Magic Millions Clockwise Classic on Sunday at Ballarat.

"Tetusko was beaten a long head in the Gimcrack and of course it would have been nice if she’d won to give him a stakes-winner, but she still proved herself at that level and Gerald (Ryan) is very happy with her,” said Harry Mitchell.

"We’re delighted with his early results and have had plenty of positive feedback from the trainers that bought them this year, so we couldn’t be happier with how he is going coming into this next round of sales.”

Word of mouth on the I Am Invincible stock has led to the young stallion covering a bigger book in each of his three seasons at stud and he will again have good representation at the sales in 2014.

I Am Invincible has 15 youngsters catalogued for the 2014 Magic Millions Sessions One to Five and 22 for Inglis Classic Yearling Sale - Summer Book.
