Toyed to kick off at Yarra Valley

Feb 16, 2013

Talented filly Toyed (Econsul-Future Plans) resumes on Sunday in a 1200m maiden. The full sister to the ill fated Kaitoa has returned in great order. She has strengthened up nicely and is developing into a female version of her brother. Toyed has been fitted up for Sunday's race with two good jumpouts and some pleasing gallops including a nice piece of work on Thurday with race jockey Ibrahim Gundogdu on board. The Gundog will need a good ride from the sticky draw and hopefully he can position up just of the speed and avoid a wide trip. The field has a couple of chances on exposed form plus first starters from the Price and Eurell stables. Toyed ran a great race on debut in running second to a well bred Encosta De Lago filly from the Hayes yard. Forget her last run on a wet track. A forward showing is expected from Toyed on Sunday and she will improve out of the run. Good luck to all her owners who have pinned there faith in the filly after the disappointment of losing her brother.
