Trotter Army invade Wangaratta

Sep 23, 2012

A fully loaded truck will head up the Hume on Monday at Wangaratta in the search for a winner. Kicking off the day in race 1 is the the big boy Kharcho. The son of Filante is building up to a staying trip and the 1600m  race third up looks an ideal stepping stone. His last run 4th despite being along way from the winner in a very strong field is looking good with the third placed horse winning at Pakenham. Hopefully Kharcho can set the scene for the rest of the day.

Rockitellie is out to redeem herself after chocking down last start when expecting to be in the finish. She has had the tongue tie added and has worked strongly since the disappointed run at Sale. This filly is expected to get better over time and distance. In a handy maiden field looking for her to hit the line hard a sign that she is back on track.

Alittlevolcanic has had a freshen up since her last run at Mildura where she raced a little flat. Her previous runs in Adelaide and Sydney were full of merit and luckless in much stronger races than the one she faces on Monday at Wangaratta. She looks well placed in the Benchmark 72 has a good draw and a dry track. Her consistency this time in makes her an each way chance.

Arching Dragon faces a nervous wait relying on a scratching before she can book a ticket on the float. The blinkers come off and she has a good draw and track fingers crossed she gets a start to complete a quadrella of stable runners.
