Spring has sprung!

Sep 05, 2012

The sun has come out finals fever has hit and the cups horses are stepping out. Spring is a great time of year with many peoples attention shifting to the track. The stable has been busy in recent weeks with Toyed nearly pulling off a dream start to her racing career. The full sister to Kaitoa ran a sensational race at Mornington to run second over 1200m. It was a promising debut from the daughter of Econsul and a win is just around the corner.

The best bred horse at Devon Meadows Shenanigans ran a slashing race recently on the synthetic at Geelong. Racing out of his class due to continually being balloted out of maidens the big son of Redoutes Choice was only beaten 2 lengths in a strong class 1. He will be very competitive next time out especially in maiden class.

Pat has Kharcho and Cyclone Jess set to go at Cranbourne on Thursday. Cyclone Jess has come through her debut run at Moonee Valley in fine fettle and will be super competitive back to maiden class. Kharcho steps up in trip tomorrow and will enjoy a firmer surface at Cranbourne. He saw more of the outside fence than the inside at Seymour on debut. In a strong maiden looking to see him getting home.

Stable Star Cyclone Andy has returned from a good break and will head towards races over the summer period. He had an excellent first preparation coming along way in a short time. He should provide alot fun for his owners and stable supporters.

Our cracking Choisir filly will have a name soon and she has headed for a well earned 6 week break after being broken in and a stint at the track that saw her get up to even time. Her sire is on fire with stakes winners popping up both in Australia and Overseas. We are looking forward to aiming her at the lucrative VOBIS Gold races.

Giant Al Samer filly Rockitellie is ready for a second up run hopefully at Sale on Saturday. This imposing filly ran excellent first up behind Timely Truce and some other well performed gallopers in a maiden at Geelong.

Good luck to all our loyal owners and stable supporters confident that we can feature in the winners stall in the not to distant future.
