Weekend Racing

Jul 12, 2012

Trotter Racing kicks off the weekend hopefully with stable newcomer Shenanigans. The royally bred 3 year old( Redoutes Choice -Magic Music) will need a scratching to gain a start at Geelong on Friday. A big strong individual Shenanigans showed early promise when trained by David Hayes but his form tapered off on wet tracks and over longer distances. The tranquil surrounds of Devon Meadows and a bit of TLC have seen Shenanigans come up nicely for his first up run for Michael Trotter.

Alittlevolcanic will step out second up at Caulfield over 1100m in what looks a tough race on paper. The talented mare has trained on well since her luckless run last start. Alittlevolcanic ran 5th in this race last year and from barrier 7 on Saturday she should be able to get closer to the inside rail rather than the outside one. In a wide open race at good odds Alittlevolcanic won't be far away.

Some promising young horses in the stable are starting to step up on the training track and the stable is looking forward to the next wave of runners hitting the racetrack in the coming months.

Good luck to all owners
