Cyclone Sarah and Zaniere head to Bairnsdale

May 19, 2012

Bairnsdale is the venue for racing Monday with the switch from Moe decided last week. Trotter Racing fresh from the brilliant win of Cyclone Andy hope the roll continues with half sister Cyclone Sarah hoping to keep the family up in lights in the 0-62 1200m. Cyclone Sarah has been a consistent performer throughout her career rarely out of the money. She ran on well first up at Kilmore and with Omer Ay taking 3kgs off her back in an even field a bold showing is expected.

Newcomer to the stable Zaniere ran super first up from a long break and returns to Bairnsdale on Monday. Settling well back over a mile he made up good gound to just miss third. Zaniere is preparing for the jumps and this is a stepping stone for him in readiness for the hurdles. The highweight conditions and step up in distance will ensure that Zaniere will run well. Keep an eye out for him when he gets to a jump race as he has some excellent form around a number of talented jumpers last season. Pat has his eye on the brierly Steeplechase next year.
